Chordstruck Magazine is an online publication for someone who listens to Top 40 pop hits in their car, jams to hip-hop melodies at a club and is often seen frequenting the mosh pits at hardcore punk shows. The Chordstruck reader can’t tell you who they’re favorite band or song is, but can give you an ever-changing list. They’re aware of who is topping this week’s Billboard and keep up with the artists on the charts, yet they can identify with bands from twenty years ago, realizing that good music is a timeless art. Although they might not like every genre of music, they are appreciative of the varying styles, open to hearing new things, and recognize the way genres blend together to create iconic sounds. They relish in young bands with mature sounds, new albums from old bands, and smoothly alternate playing their iPods and their vinyl records.
