Day 1

It’s muggy as hell as I wait at the entrance to the venue. It seems like 1,000 people have beat me to the line. I wait for over an hour to reach a tent that was 50 feet away when I initially got in line. When I reach the tent, I hear word about wristbands being out. We all wonder how the hell somebody could mismanage the wristband situation.

Chances are you’ve heard The Undeserving before even if their name isn’t recognizable just yet. Hailing from Ohio, the group has made their name with numerous tracks that have appeared all over the small screen. Currently in the midst of a relentless tour across the states, the band has picked up the pace and shows no signs of slowing down. Chordstruck had the opportunity to share a brief email chat with members of this rising band, lead singer/piano/acoustic guitar player Clay Kirchenbauer and bassist Jimmie Getty of the fearsome foursome, and bounced back a few emails about their humble beginnings and where they’re headed now.
